Poet Elaine Sexton - once a local, here visiting old haunts from her home in New York and reading for friends and passersby. Her second book of poems is just out, and is called Causeway.

May 15 - Thursday - 7 pm
Tribute to Poet David Meltzer

(who had to postpone his reading due to an accident)
Poets will read work by David and some of their own! See numerous mentions above!

May 18 - Sunday
2 pm: Join David Hallstrom and old friends, who will gather to give this poet of exquisite observation his due. Music and anecdote will augment David's poetry, which spans half a century, all the coast, and the continent itself.
4:30 pm: The first in our new series of Sunday acoustic music showcases.
By June, you'll be able to count on acoustic music of one stripe or another every Sunday afternoon at Bird & Beckett-- some American roots stuff, some music from international traditions, some jazz... keep an eye out for our schedule as it evolves.
